Update 5/4/15: Adam was adopted in April! Read on to learn about his story, and make sure to check out all other Bick’s Pits still available for adoption here.
Every month, Bryan Bickell, #29 of the Blackhawks, and his wife Amanda find an adoptable “pit bull” type dog that needs a home through the Bickell Foundation’s Bick’s Pits program.
Listen to Amanda talk about February’s “Bick’s Pit” Adam below.
You may have heard about Adam Cheung, who recently lost his battle to cancer.
He was a Blackhawks fan who was given a FaceTime tour of the Blackhawks locker room by #29 Bryan Bickell. He also was a dog lover and had a “pit bull” type dog of his own.
In honor of Adam, this month’s Bick’s Pit is a puppy who was rescued on the south side of Chicago. The pup had makeshift bandages on and was seriously hurt.
