Heartland Animal Shelter is a no-kill animal shelter in Northbrook recently recognized by Miranda Lambert as one of the best animal shelters in the nation!
On Saturday, July 25th, they’re hosting their 9th annual Walk of Love at the Blue Star Memorial Woods Forest Preserve in Glenview starting at 9:30 AM.
Come out with your dog for a leisurely 2K walk through the woods, and enjoy breakfast, puppy pools, professional photos, a pet caricaturist, and even a pet psychic!
You can also support them online if you join Team Furry Love. Remember, if you raise $100 for the shelter, you’ll enjoy a free adult admission to the Walk of Love! The money raised benefits the animals at Heartland.
Watch for Malibu A.K.A. “Boo” if you come to the Walk. She’s a playful 1-year-old hound mix who loves to mingle with other dogs and people! She’s up for adoption, so make sure to meet her to see if she’s the right doggy for you! Learn more about her here.
